Pete Vander Pluym - DIRECTOR

Pete Vander Pluym got the filmmaking bug in his early teens shooting fight scenes and performing stunts in front of his dads regular 8 Bell and Howell.  Although that was fun for him he quickly realized that film was all story and emotion.  He set out to become a filmmaker and attended Southern Illinois University in Carbondale.  There he received a BA in Communications with an emphasis on film production.  After college he moved to Sarasota Florida and became a camera assistant for local productions and his first feature film.  After Florida Pete moved to Burbank, CA and continued his camera work.   Pete quickly moved up the A.C. ladder and had the great opportunity to work on special effects for Titanic and Disney’s Dinosaur.

In 2000 Pete became a staff member at the Dodge College of Film and Media Arts at Chapman University, Orange, CA.  After 4 years of employment Pete decided to get back into writing and directing and was able to produce his latest film “forgiven”.  Pete is currently Stage Manager in the new film facility at Chapman and is keeping the dream alive.
