Mark Parry
CINEMATOGRAPHER

As a cinematographer, Mark has shot over a dozen features and scores of other projects including commercials and music videos. His cinematography has won several awards including the Nissan FOCUS Award.
For the past eight years, Mark has worked as a professor at Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film & Media Arts where he has helped scores of aspiring filmmakers learn the craft. In 2006, he mentored the director and also served as the cinematographer for the Coca Cola Refreshing Filmmaker Award winning film “The Reel Monkey.” The film was screened in more than 3,000 theaters nationwide.
As a founding partner of Accelerated Pictures, Mark has used his filmmaking knowledge to help develop a cutting-edge software filmmaking tool code-named ‘Orca.’ The system uses real-time rendering to enable rapid 3D animation layout and live-action previsualization. He looks forward to using the system as a teaching tool in the classroom.
Mark continues to work professionally while he teaches the next generation of filmmakers.
